Description
A dark and expressive piece exposing the tonality of the tuba. As a tuba player myself it was a lot of fun writing this piece. Originally intended for the BBb Bass but I decided that it worked really well with EEb too. Originally written for a band with missing seats with five part + solo the tuba is really put on display. The piece moves from mood to mood with a simple exciting theme in the middle using the huge range of the tuba. The whole piece culminates with an expressive conclusion.
Difficulty level : Medium for the soloist. Easy-Medium for the band.
