Rebecca Richards was the charity’s first full time Country Manager based in Kampala, Uganda serving for three years.
In those three years Rebecca achieved, and was responsible for, so much in establishing Brass for Africa as a reputable and effective charity bringing about real positive change in the lives of many young people in Uganda.
Rebecca’s professionalism, integrity and huge heart have won her the love and admiration of everyone who works with her. Brass for Africa commissioned Alan Fernie to compose “Ballad for Rebecca” as a token of thanks for all she has done.
You may hear elements of both the US and Ugandan national anthems, but Alan’s performance notes say it all “Gentle and Kind”
